Jim Schwartz
Certified Master Pond Manager

Jim Schwartz is an Aquatic Biologist and and is a designated Clemson University Certified Master Pond Manager (MPM#00085) who oversees Florida Waterways’ aquatic biology and ecology projects. He focuses on innovating environmentally sustainable solutions in the management of ponds and lakes. A native Floridian, Jim holds a B.S. from Florida State University and is a Clemson University – Certified Master Pond Manager and a University of Florida – Florida Master Naturalist.
Since 2011, Jim has been a Licensed Commercial Applicator with the Florida Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services, and is licensed for Aquatic Pest Control, Natural Areas Weed Management, Right of Way Pest Control, and Demonstration and Research. Jim is licensed for commercial Public Health Pest Control (Florida Mosquito Control, Chapter 388, F.S.).
The best part of my job is helping people connect with nature. Florida’s waterways can be such a fantastic resource when properly cared for: attracting wildlife, birds, and fish! I wake up every day doing what I love and never stop learning along the way.
